| "A Map of the World" This is a very realistic drama about a heartbreaking tragedy that's played very well by some outstanding actors and actresses. Sigourney Weaver plays a school nurse whose world is torn apart by the death of her friend's child left in her care and charges of sexual abuse by the mother of one of the students she cares for at school. Julianne Moore (as her friend) and Chloe Sevigney (as the mother of the student) give very capable performances. Not to be overlooked is also an excellent performance by David Strathaim as her husband. |

| Sigourney Weaver Sigourney has been nominated for an Oscar on three occasions for either Best Actress or Best Supporting Actress. Her last really nude appearance on film was in 1986 in "Half Moon Street". She's shown glimpses in the French comedy "One Woman or Two" (1986) and later in "Death and the Maiden" (1995). I never thought she'd do another nude scene. To appear nude in a move past the age of 50 is daring indeed. To show more in that movie than in any other, is incredible. That makes this a very notable appearance by a very notable star; one that's not likely to be repeated. |
